About Us

We didn’t start Primary Ignition because we wanted to build “just another news site.” We started it because we couldn’t shut up about comics, streaming shows, and the kind of television moments that make people text their friends at midnight. At some point, one of us said, “If we’re already talking about this stuff nonstop, why not invite everyone else into the conversation?” And that was the spark.

Our coverage is broad, but always rooted in the things that keep people hooked. Comic books aren’t just paper and ink—they’re blueprints for so much of today’s culture. OTT platforms have flipped how we watch everything, turning global releases into weekend rituals. Television, even as it evolves, still manages to stop us in our tracks. And world news? You can’t really separate it from entertainment anymore. What’s happening out there shapes what’s happening on our screens.

We’re not here to pretend we’re above fandom. We geek out. We rant. We sometimes argue among ourselves about which season of a show was better, or why a certain comic run deserved more love. And that energy fuels the way we write.

If you come here looking for perfectly polished corporate-style articles, you’ll be disappointed. What you’ll find instead are thoughtful reviews, opinionated editorials, and breakdowns that aren’t afraid to say, “Yeah, this didn’t work,” or, “This blew us away.”

Primary Ignition is for people who love to go deeper not just “what’s new,” but “why it matters.” And if you’ve made it this far down the page, chances are you’re one of those people. So welcome. You’re in the right place.
