Dazzler spends most of this issue in roller skates and booty shorts. Based on what we’ve seen in the previous four issues, that seems about right.

I’m sad to see this miniseries end. It indulged in the cheesecake quite a bit, but it still managed to be a hell of a lot of fun. Like a good buddy-action-comedy for the ladies. I’m not sure how likely it is, but I’d definitely be up for more!

The sophomoric charm of X-Terminators remains intact. Though early on, this issue felt like it was trying a little too blatantly to earn its parental advisory. We get jokes about a pee fetish and cosmic condoms.

Last time I said this mini mixed popcorn fun with “the occasional bit of cheesecake.” I’m not sure what possessed me to say the cheesecake was occasional, as while it’s not always up in your face, it’s certainly more than an occasional factor. Case in point, Gomez and Valenza’s rendering of Emma Frost laying out in the grass to watch a baseball game.

There’s a panel in this issue where Jubilee punches Boom-Boom in the boob. (Boom-Boom’s boob-boob?) Shortly thereafter, they start complimenting Dazzler’s ass. We even get a striptease from Boom-Boom (sorta…).

*Googles Leah Williams* Just checking to make sure X-Terminators isn’t being written by a horny dude.

Don’t mistake that as an insult. This book continues to be a treat, expertly mixing the popcorn fun with the occasional bit of cheesecake. As someone who isn’t well-versed in current X-Men stuff, it’s also fairly accessible. There’s not a lot to complain about here.

X-Terminators continues to be fun. Even sexy, albeit in a low-brow sort of way.

This issue has a little bit of a pro wrestling flavor to it, to the point that Dazzler gets the Sharpshooter submission hold placed on her. That move hurts. I know from experience.

I also genuinely laughed at an exchange between Jubilee and Boom-Boom. The former mentions hubris, and the latter asks how she can be talking about circumcision at a time like this…

Picture what movies like Bridesmaids or Rough Night would be like in the Marvel Universe, and you’ve basically got X-Terminators. That’s a compliment. This first issue is a lot of fun, with our three girls (Dazzler, Jubilee, and Boom-Boom) having fun and getting into trouble.

Early in the issue, Jubilee gets a triad of awesome zingers on Boom-Boom. The best of which being: “You look like if Barbie was a sex addict.”

And yes, there is a sexy dimension to this book. So if that’s something you enjoy in your comic books, you’ll be satisfied here.
